    I may be slightly annoying in conversation, pulling out bits of research or relevant articles like index cards whenever the talk takes an insightful turn. (I have a running joke with a friend of mine that she starts every other sentence with, “I heard on NPR that…” and I start mine with, “I read somewhere that…”.) In truth, these are often my favorite kinds of conversations. But I don’t believe that I actually know any more or less than anyone else – wisdom is a pretty relative trait, a hard thing to quantify. Besides, we must need different kinds of wisdom for our different lives. My wisdom collecting works for my life; it may not fit yours.
